Ecco eyes RM5m sales

Ecco, the Danish shoemaker and retailer, is eyeing sales of RM5 million by next year with 15 per cent annual growth.

“Ecco’s brand is no stranger here as we made our first appearance in 2009, and we hope the brand will be more warmly accepted by Malaysians through the opening of our first store,” said Vietmaland Sdn Bhd managing director Francis Chan.

Vietmaland is a distributor of Ecco in Malaysia.

Speaking after the launch of Ecco’s flagship store here yesterday, Chan said the company has invested around RM500,000 in the store and aims to reach RM750,000 in sales next year.

Chan said there are plans to open Ecco stores in KLCC, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and Gurney Plaza in Penang.

In the Klang Valley, Ecco products are available at Parkson KLCC, Pavilion, 1Utama, Subang Parade and The Gardens. – Bernama
