The Malaysian government will coordinate with private companies to ensure that the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (QIP) green technology project will progress accordingly, said International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
“I will personally take up the responsibility and look into the development of this project to ensure that it can be completed on time,” he said when visiting the site of the industrial park here yesterday.
Located in west China, QIP is a joint effort between the Malaysian and Chinese governments to facilitate the private sector from both sides to do business, especially in green technology.
QIP is targeted as a model industrial park for Malaysia-China’s win-win cooperation and designed to be a corridor of wisdom, a manufacturing base, a modern coastal green town and a platform for trade.
The planned side of QIP lies adjacent to Guangxi Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area and the 100-million-tonne port of Guangxi. – From Ling Poh Lean–BTimes
